About Social Economy Lisburn

Social Economy Lisburn is a programme of support for social enterprises and groups considering social enterprise activities in the Lisburn Partnership area.  It is open to previous participants in the network, as well as new and emerging social enterprises in the Lisburn area.  Work West will deliver the new Social Economy Lisburn programme, which runs to June 2008 and is funded by Lisburn Partnership under the Peace II Extension Programme.

The programme of support consists of a range of networking activities, best practice exchanges, and promotional activities to raise awareness of the sector locally and regionally.

Roy Hanna, Chairman of Lisburn Partnership says “Supporting the social economy in a peaceful and fair society has been a key aim of the Partnership over recent years.  We are delighted that this programme of support is now up and running again for the benefit of the local community and voluntary sector.”
